Sunstone a member of the Feldspar family, is known for its warm hue of gold, orange, reds and browns that sparkle like the sun.The most famous sunstone mine is found Oregon in the United States.The presence of Goethite or Hematite refract light between the layers of crystal and in turn, produces an iridescent effect when viewed from different angles. Sunstone is said to encourage independence and originality aiding in emotional strength.Sunstone is one of the birthstone choices of Libra and Leo.
